Domaine Saint Landor
Crémant de Loire Brut

95 Points

Shows a mouthwatering bouquet of granny smith apples, pear pastry, lime zest, white flowers, thyme, and coriander. The palate is refreshing and charged with more flavors of orchard fruit, cool dill, and an invigorating, dry finish.

Domaine Saint Landor
Crémant de Loire Brut Rosé
91 Points

Like strawberry jam on toasted brioche, this sparkling wine has a creamy mousse that displays cascading flavors of pomegranate, rose water, wild berries, and blanched almonds. Zesty and invigorating, this has a lovely, creamy finish.

Domaine Saint Landor
Saumur Blanc
90 Points

Aromas are richly layered with Meyer lemon, sage, and musk. Equally rich in the mouth, the body is medium full with plenty of juicy ripe stone fruit and mouth watering acidity. A slight nutty note fills the finish with flavor.

Bruno Preveaux
La Pointe des Mautifaults

90 Points

A spicy and peppery nose is supported by floral notes and dark fruit undertones. Silky in the mouth, flavors of dark chocolate, green bell pepper, and blackberry fruit leather all swirl in harmony. The finish is dry.

Bruno Preveaux
Prestige

89 Points

Melon, sea salt, musk and citrus zest are layered to create complex and intriguing aromas. The flavors blossom in the mouth with juicy cantaloupe, tangerine, apple blossom, and strong minerality. The finish is creamy with a hint of vanilla.

Chateau de la Galissionnière
Hell Celt
90 Points

A bright and pale straw color belies a flinty nose with hints of blanched almonds, lime peel, and granite. The palate is medium-bodied with rich flavors of golden apple and lime curd, with a toasty finish of sourdough and chalk.

Chateau de la Galissionnière
Cuvée Prestige
90 Points

The wine has an austere and alluring nose of light earth – white button mushroom, caky chalk, and wet river stones. The wine itself is bone dry, with seashell, lime peel, and a hint of toasted bread. The finish is lengthy and mineral-driven.

We are excited to see Ross-idi Orange Wine featured in the Men's Health Article "Orange Wine Is the Unofficial Drink of Spring and Summer" as one of their top 5 must try orange wines!

"Stored in a clay bottle, this orange wine from Kristova Family Partners has a balanced body that’s both creamy and bright. 'On the nose, this wine is a bouquet of sweet pineapple, orange blossom, and freshly popped corn with secondary notes of harvest’s end—dried grass, hay, and raw walnuts,' says Mikayla Avedisian-Cohen, a sommelier and events and private clients manager at OMvino."

Just in time for Passover, Anthony Mueller from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate has reviewed the two Kosher reds from Backsberg.

2018 Kosher Merlot - 88 points Robert Parker
"Beginning with dusty plum elements and juicy dark cherry in the glass, the 2018 Kosher Merlot has a delightful bouquet of purple flowers and tree bark. Medium-bodied, the wine offers a balanced mid-palate with elegant tannins that lift the expression before ending with a clean finish. It’s a lovely wine that drinks well."

2018 Kosher Pinotage - 88 points Robert Parker
"Beginning with a dark juicy essence of leather, blueberry and black pepper, the 2018 Kosher Pinotage is dusty, fruity and spicy in the glass. Medium-bodied, the wine offers a kiss of sweetness across the palate, framed by energetic tannins that linger through the finish. This is actually one of the better Pinotages that I've had recently."

A wonderfully in-depth article written by Tamlyn Currin about the Atlantis Tinta Negra Rose from Madeira.

"I’ve always maintained that rosé is for food not summer – especially the good rosés, made to be wine rather than alcopop substitutes. Second, we could all do with a bit of colour in our lives right now."
"
For those of us trying to warm up with soups and stews and comforting winter food, this would be a cracker with hot-and-sour tofu soup, a curry, goulash (or anything with sweet/smoky paprika spice), fish pie, carbonara or a ham bake. For summer, the possibilities are endless."
-Tamlyn Currin

Atlantis Tinta Negra Rose is only available in the US in Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and North Carolina. Contact your local Ocean South Imports rep and ask about this fantastic Rose.

Smith-Madrone in Decanter Magazine:
"The Smiths are proudly old-school in their winemaking philosophy: the age worthy, balanced wines they make, the reasonable prices they charge, and the homely way they welcome visitors. The winery is the tasting room. The guides are the Smith brothers or Stu’s son Sam, who is now assistant winemaker." -Elin McCoy
